There are a lot of scholarships that are open only to students who live in certain area. The smaller the area the less competition there is going to be. If you know what you intend to study you might want to look into subject specific scholarships. There are scholarships available in almost all subjects so they are something that you should look into.

The biggest difficulty that you are going to face when looking for a online education scholarship is trying to figure out which ones you are eligible for.
